I paint portraits live and I’ve worked at many Wrocław weddings. The easel, the palette of paints and the materials take up 2-3 square metres.

I create individual portraits, group portraits and portraits of the whole couple surrounded by loved ones. Each portrait is created from a short photo session, which lets the guests enjoy the wedding while their image turns into a work of art.

How the collaboration during live painting in Wrocław works

The four stages of the whole process:

1. Planning. At the start of the collaboration I discuss the details with the couple - the number of portraits, the style of the works, the colours, individual expectations. I ask about the wedding venue, the schedule, the number of guests. We decide where in the hall I’ll set up the station.

2. Preparation. On the day of the celebration I arrive early to prepare the workstation and the right materials. I set up the easel, paints, paper or canvas. I check the light, position myself so that guests can watch the work freely.

3. Painting. I create portraits in real time, while engaging guests in conversations about art and observation of the creative process. The first portrait always belongs to the newlyweds. Over 5-7 hours, 30-45 paintings are created.

4. Handing over the works. The finished portraits can be given to the guests during the reception or delivered to the newlyweds in elegant mounts. The decision is yours - both options have their pros.

I need a station of 2-3 square metres, access to a socket and light. In Wrocław wedding venues these are standard conditions - most halls already have experience with extra attractions, photographers, decorators, so the logistics are smooth.

I work for 5-7 hours of active work, which realistically gives 30-45 portraits. The number depends on the level of detail and the pace of the evening. If you want to be sure all your guests will be portrayed, it’s worth estimating the number of those interested in advance and possibly extending my presence in the hall.

When it’s best to book a date

As a wedding destination, Wrocław works all year round, but the season peak is May-September. In this period weekend dates fill up fast - it’s worth asking about availability 6-8 months in advance. Off-season - from November to April - booking is often possible with two months’ notice.
