Why live painting at an event

Live painting sets
your event apart.

Your corporate event, trade show or launch is a great chance to show your company in a creative light. You want participants to remember the brand?

Live painting at events is an attraction that draws real attention and delivers genuine impressions. I paint portraits live in a distinctive style - they become keepsakes for participants and a subtle carrier of your brand.

It is not just an original way to stand out, but also an engaging form of entertainment. Participants can watch the process, take part, share ideas. The atmosphere of the event lifts - and your brand stays in their memory.

A real marketing tool

Five reasons brands
choose live painting.

Live painting at a corporate event is more than an attraction - it is a marketing action that builds brand value on five levels.

  1. 01

    Highlights brand creativity

Hand-painted portraits in a distinctive storybook style show that your company values originality and high quality. A clear differentiator from competitors.

  2. 02

    Engages participants

Watching a portrait being made live is a real experience. It draws people to your booth, gathers an audience, creates conversation.

  3. 03

    Builds positive emotion

A personalized portrait with your company logo is a meaningful gift. The participant's emotion gets linked to the brand - and stays in memory for a long time.

  4. 04

    Increases brand reach

Participants happily share their portraits on social media. Organic brand reach with no extra ad spend - earned, not paid.

  5. 05

    Adds prestige to the event

Live painting gives the event a premium feel and signals attention to detail. A high-end activation - not another generic giveaway.

Branding on the portraits

Personalized portraits
with your brand.

My offer includes the option of full portrait personalization - I adjust them to match your brand's visual identity.

Your company logo can be placed subtly on the portrait paper, so every keepsake reads as yours. Taglines or campaign slogans can sit on the portraits too - short, on-brand messages that reinforce your company's voice.

The portrait paper can be designed specifically for your event, with visual elements tied to your CI. Every portrait becomes a small piece of art that is beautiful on its own and elegantly carries your brand.

How it works for the brand

How live painting
helps your company.

Three mechanisms through which live painting builds brand value - at the event and long after.

01

Pulls attention at trade shows and events

At industry trade shows and large events, standing out is the whole game. A booth with live painting becomes a natural magnet - people walk over, watch the process, get drawn into the interaction. Your company gets visibility and sticks in memory long after the doors close.

02

Builds positive brand associations

A portrait received at an event, marked with your company logo, becomes a keepsake that triggers positive emotion. That emotion transfers to the brand, building a favorable image in the participant's mind - not forced by advertising, but earned naturally.

03

Drives organic social media reach

Guests who receive their portraits share them on social media, tagging the company that organized the activation. It is a natural way to grow brand reach and connect with new audiences - participants do the sharing because the portrait is something they actually want to post.

How collaboration works

Four steps: from inquiry
to the event day.

Everything written down, everything agreed in advance. No invoice surprises, no silence about the stages.

  1. 01

    Inquiry and consultation

You send the form with your event date. Together we work out how to fit live painting into the agenda - the character of the event, your brand, expectations for the activation. I advise what works best in your specific context.

  2. 02

    Contract and date booking

Once details are set, we sign a contract - fully transparent terms. A deposit secures the date and lets production move ahead without stress.

  3. 03

    Pre-event preparation

A few weeks before the event I prepare the materials - personalized frames, graphic elements matched to the style and character of the event. Custom branded portrait paper is finalized in advance.

  4. 04

    On-site delivery

On the day of the event I set up the station and start painting portraits live. Each guest watches the process, gets involved, walks away with their portrait - and a carrier of your brand.

For which events

Corporate events,
trade shows, conferences.

Live painting works wherever you want to give participants something more than a warehouse giveaway - corporate events, product launches, trade shows and conferences, galas, anniversaries, festivals.

I can be with you for a few hours, I can stay for the whole event - the length of presence and number of portraits are matched to what you have planned. Together we work out how many guests will realistically get their portrait.

You can layer in extra deliverables too - digital portrait scans for social media, photo and video documentation of the process. We scope this out after the first inquiry.

Service area: Poland only. Live painting requires physical presence - I serve all regions and major cities across Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk, Katowice, Lodz). International brands hosting events in Poland are welcome - English-speaking communication and bilingual contracts are no problem.

Pricing

Custom quote.

Pricing depends on the length of my on-site presence, the number of portraits, custom branded paper design, and the venue location. Every event is different - which is why I quote individually.

You get a concrete quote after the inquiry form. Reply within 48 hours. VAT invoice always.

Send inquiry with event date

What clients say

Excerpts from reviews.

Live painting at our event was the best call we made. Guests stayed glued to her station, and we got content that worked in social for weeks after.

Frequently asked

What brands ask.

The questions brand managers and event agencies ask most often. Missing something? Write to me.

01 Do you do event live painting outside Poland? +

No - event live painting is Poland-only. The format requires me on-site with my supplies, and I keep the radius to Poland to maintain quality and reliable logistics. If your company is hosting an event in Poland for an international audience, English-speaking communication and full English collateral are no problem. Many of my B2B clients are international brands running activations in Warsaw, Krakow, or Wroclaw.

02 How much does event live painting cost for a company? +

Quote depends on how many hours I am on-site, how many portraits you want, the custom branded paper design, and venue location. Material costs and travel logistics are included where relevant. Concrete number within 48 hours of the inquiry form. Standard: 30% deposit secures the date, balance after the event. Invoices in EUR for international clients on request.

03 How does branding on the portraits work? +

We design the portrait paper specifically for your event - your logo, tagline, brand colors per your guidelines, and a frame matched to the campaign visual style. Each guest leaves with a portrait that doubles as a subtle brand object, no in-your-face logo placement. I align the artwork with your marketing team or creative agency before the event so visual consistency holds across the whole activation.

04 What kind of events does this work for? +

Corporate galas, product launches, trade shows, conferences, employee appreciation events, client appreciation evenings. Anywhere you want to give attendees something better than a stock giveaway - an original keepsake they take home and show other people. Live painting works especially well at trade shows where booths compete for attention, because live painting always draws a crowd and people stay to watch their portrait take shape.

05 Can we get digital materials for social media? +

Social media material happens mostly organically - guests photograph their portraits on the branded paper and post them themselves, tagging your brand. That is authentic reach a sponsored post cannot buy. I do not offer digital scans of the finished portraits at events - that is a separate matter from the technique itself. You are free to film or photograph the station and the painting process with your own team for your company channels.

06 How many portraits get painted at a 4-hour event? +

It depends on how long I am there, the guest count, the portrait format (individual or paired), and - the biggest lever at larger events - how many artists are painting. I run live painting as a team too, so throughput is highly dynamic: more hands means proportionally more portraits in the same window. Solo, a 4-hour event yields roughly 15-25 portraits; with a team, correspondingly more. We plan the queue in advance - raffle, sign-up, named reservations - so everyone who wants one gets it.

07 What languages do you work in? +

Polish and English, both fluent for project communication. Briefs, calls, contracts, email - either works. Most of my international clients are publishers and brands in the EU, UK, and US, and English is the default for those projects. If your team prefers Polish, we switch. Contracts can be issued bilingually if your legal team needs it for review.

08 How do I get in touch and how fast do you reply? +

Fill out the inquiry form on the contact page with what you need, your timeline, and any references. I reply within 48 hours - usually faster on weekdays - with either a scoped quote or a short list of clarifying questions. No automated funnel, no nurture sequence. You write to me, I write back. That is the whole process.

09 Which services are available internationally vs Poland-only? +

Illustration work - books, covers, editorial, advertising, packaging - is fully remote and available worldwide. Live painting - wedding and event - is Poland-only because the format requires me on-site. If you are an international brand hosting an event in Poland, that works. If you need live painting abroad, I would refer you to a local artist rather than overpromise.

10 Who are you and what is your background? +

I am Anna Karwala, an illustrator based in Poland with a fine arts degree and over a decade of professional practice. I work on children's books, editorial illustration, advertising commissions, and live painting at weddings and corporate events. My studio is small on purpose - the illustration work is entirely my own hand, no ghost-illustrators, and the portfolio is the work I do. For bigger live-painting events I bring in a small, hand-picked team of painters so everyone gets a portrait, but the studio and its standards stay mine.

Good to know

Before you ask.

01What do live-painted guest portraits at a corporate event look like?+

Each one is hand-painted in watercolour on A5 paper - a small, finished portrait of a single guest in my signature style. I design the paper around your brand, with your logo, tagline and colors from your brand book. The guest watches their own portrait take shape and walks away with it. This is not a rushed sketch. It is a refined keepsake that quietly carries your brand out the door.

02How much space does a live painting station need at a trade show?+

Not much. I set up a compact painting station, so a small corner of your booth with a table is all it takes. I bring all my own materials, so the logistics sit with me, and watercolour needs no power or technical setup. We agree the exact spot beforehand, with you or the trade show organizer, so the station fits neatly into the space and the flow of guests.

03When is the best time to fit live painting into a conference agenda?+

It usually works best whenever guests have a moment for themselves - during breaks, the networking block, lunch or the evening gala. That is when people can come over, watch the process and collect their portrait without rushing, and it never clashes with the talks. When we plan the day, I advise on how to slot live painting at a conference into your schedule so the most people possible get their turn.

04How far in advance should I book live painting for a corporate event?+

Booking a corporate event live painter early is the surest way to secure your date - I never double-book, so popular slots can already be gone. Send me an inquiry with your event date and within 48 hours I come back on whether I am free, plus a quote. A deposit holds the date exclusively for you. Even if the event is close, write anyway - a tight date can sometimes still work.

05Do you paint event portraits by hand or digitally?+

At an event I paint only by hand - watercolour, on paper, right in front of your guests; the whole charm of live painting is watching the picture appear. It is always handwork - I never paint digitally or on a tablet at events (I work digitally only on illustration). The finished, physical portrait leaves with the guest. A digital scan of the portrait is a separate thing from the technique - at events I do not offer scans.

06How is live painting different from hiring a caricaturist at an event?+

It is a different format and a different result. I do not do quick, gag caricatures - I paint a refined watercolour portrait in my signature style on A5 paper. Because I design the paper around your brand, with your logo and colors, the portrait is a keepsake and a brand activation in one. Your guest gets something they genuinely want to take home and show off, not shove in a drawer.
