Ebook graphic design - original cover and illustration by Anna Karwala

Graphic design · for brands and authors

Graphic design with an illustrator's hand.

I look at graphic design from the image first. I combine design with illustration, because typography and illustration have to work as one - not as two layers stitched together.

What I design

Materials where illustration plays a role.

I make graphic design that goes beyond classic graphic design. Catalogues, posters, leaflets, brochures, reports, presentations, ebooks, trade-show materials - all with a layer of original illustration.

I work as illustrator and graphic designer in one - so your project is not a patchwork of someone else's illustrations plus someone else's layout. Everything binds into a single story.

Every design is also a story. Typography, color, illustration and layout work together to tell it - so the audience holds their gaze longer than two seconds.

Project types

Print, digital, mixed.

Six of the most commonly ordered types. Your project doesn't fit any category? Write - we'll figure it out. Catalogue, poster and pitch deck are just the start of the list.

  1. 01

    Catalogues and brochures

Product catalogue, annual report, service brochure, client newsletter. With illustrations, infographics, custom typography.

  2. 02

    Posters and leaflets

Event poster, campaign leaflet, trade-show materials. Format from postcard to large-format wall poster.

  3. 03

    Sales presentations

Pitch deck, investor presentation, conference materials. Slides you actually want to look at for longer than 5 seconds.

  4. 04

    Marketing materials

Social media carousels, infographics, lookbooks, downloadable PDFs. Consistent with the brand identity.

  5. 05

    Ebooks and lead magnets

Ebook with table of contents, cover and inside illustrations. The kind of material that raises the value of a newsletter signup.

  6. 06

Board, cards, instructions, box - the full graphic design of a board game with a custom illustration layer.

What you get

Files ready for production.

Editable design file (if you want the option to change things later) plus print-ready files - with the right color profile, resolution and bleed.

I'll help with the choice of printer, paper, format. I handle the whole thing - I do not leave you with files and the question "where do I print this now".

You can give feedback at every stage - revision rounds are written into the quote. No invoice surprises, no billing for every comma.

How collaboration works

How a project comes to life, together.

Four steps, clear milestones, no surprises. From the first email to print-ready files.

  1. 01

    You send an inquiry

Describe what should be made - catalogue, poster, presentation, lookbook. Attach the materials you already have: text, logo, photos, references.

  2. 02

We agree on details and quote

We clarify scope, format, page count, illustration count, deadlines. I tailor the quote to the project and the budget.

  3. 03

I present the design for approval

I show the first version of the design - layout, typography, illustration. You give feedback; we refine details across the next rounds.

  4. 04

    I finalize and deliver files

After approval I deliver print-ready files (PDF with fonts, bleed, registration marks) plus editable files, if you need them.

Frequently asked

Scope, files, timelines.

The most common questions from clients ordering graphic design. Missing something? Write to me.

01 How is your graphic design different from a 'regular' agency? +

In a standard agency, illustrations are usually bought from stock or subcontracted. In my studio, the design and the illustration come from the same head - so the material has consistent character, not a patchwork of styles. I work in an authorial way; every project gets typographic-illustrative handwork, not a drag-and-drop template.

02 How long does a catalogue or brochure take? +

An average catalogue with custom illustrations takes 3-6 weeks - depending on page count, number of illustrations, and how fast feedback comes back. A poster or leaflet is usually 1-2 weeks. A pitch deck starts at two weeks. You get a precise schedule with the quote - with concrete dates for each version handover.

03 Will I get editable files to make changes myself later? +

Yes, if you want - we agree on it at the quote stage. By default I deliver print-ready PDF plus source files in InDesign or Figma. Editable files usually come with short instructions on how to change typical elements without breaking the layout.

04 Will you help me with printing - printer, paper, format? +

Yes. I work with trusted printers in Poland, and I can recommend paper, format, finishing (foil, varnish, die-cut). If you want, I oversee the print process too - from proof to delivery of the print run. We usually settle print directly with the printer, which gives you full control over the invoice.

05 How many revision rounds are included in the price? +

By default I include two revision rounds at the design stage and one at finalization. If during work it turns out your project needs more iterations - we agree on it up front, so you know how it affects timeline and quote. I don't bill hidden fees for moving a pixel.

06 Can I order just the design, without illustrations? +

Yes, although my domain is design fused with illustration. If you only need layout (e.g. you have illustrations ready or we use photos), I'll handle that too - typography, layout, color stay my signature. But if you can, I recommend using the custom illustration layer - that's what makes the biggest difference.

Use cases

Where it works.

  1. 01

    Illustrated restaurant menu

An illustrated menu for a restaurant or cafe - dishes, sections, allergen icons in one custom style. Guests remember the place, not just what they ate.

  2. 02

    Wall calendar

A company wall calendar with 12 custom illustrations, given to clients at year end. It hangs on the wall all year and keeps reminding people of the brand.

  3. 03

    Illustrated map

A directions map, a festival map, or a map of the area for a hotel - drawn by hand, with the character of the place, not a Google Maps screenshot.

  4. 04

    Training materials

A workshop workbook, exercise cards, training boards. I break a dry subject into illustrations that help participants actually remember what it was about.

  5. 05

    Illustrated guide

A step-by-step guide or a welcome pack for a new client. An ebook that explains the process with images instead of a wall of text, so someone finally reads it.

  6. 06

    Anniversary publication

An album or a one-off publication for a company's milestone anniversary - the brand's story in illustrations, a timeline, founder profiles. For print or as a downloadable ebook.

Good to know

Before you ask.

01How much does it cost to design an illustrated ebook?+

I don't work from a fixed price list - the cost depends on the page count, the number of illustrations, whether we're doing the cover, table of contents and layout from scratch, and the deadline. A 20-page ebook with a few illustrations is a different project from a full guide. Fill in the form with what you're planning and I'll come back within 48 hours with a quote and a schedule. VAT invoice, everything on a contract.

02Do you design the board game mechanics, or just the graphics?+

I handle the graphic and illustration side of board game design - the board, cards, tokens, box and rulebook dressed in one consistent world. The mechanics, rules and balance are your job (or your game designer's). You bring the finished rules and text, and I turn them into a game that looks good enough to make people want to play. If you only have an idea, let's pin down the scope at the start.

03How is presentation design with custom illustration different from a ready-made template?+

A Canva or PowerPoint template is on half the internet - your presentation then looks like everyone else's. When I design slides with custom illustration, you get a layout, typography and graphics cut to one topic and one brand. The audience looks longer, because they haven't seen it 100 times already. For a pitch or an investor presentation, that difference can decide whether someone listens to the end.

04What software do you use for graphic design projects?+

I paint illustrations in Procreate on an iPad and refine them in Photoshop, then do the layout in InDesign or Figma, depending on the project. For print you get a PDF in CMYK, with bleed and registration marks, and source files for later edits if you want them. I don't click through ready-made templates - I build every catalogue, ebook or presentation from scratch around your material.

05Will the materials be consistent with my visual identity?+

Yes. If you have a brand book, or even just a logo, palette and fonts, I stick to them - graphic design with illustration should reinforce your brand, not fight it. The custom illustration comes in as a layer that makes the material stand out while still fitting the rest of your communication. Don't have a consistent identity yet? Tell me, and we'll set the direction at the start, so the catalogue or presentation doesn't clash with everything else.

06Do you do graphic design for private individuals, or only for companies?+

Both. With companies and brands I do catalogue design, presentations and marketing materials; with authors, ebooks; and with private individuals, things like a board game as a gift or a publication for an anniversary. It doesn't matter whether you have a marketing department or you're ordering graphic design for the first time. I guide you through it from the first email to print-ready files. Just tell me what should be made.
