About me
A little more about Bujnowłosa

And here I am, Bujnowłosa
Hi!
My name is Anna, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts, an illustrator and graphic designer. From a young age, I have been fulfilling myself as an artist in many fields. Currently, I pour all my experience into illustration, which has become my favorite means of expression. I move in a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere. I love creating silly characters with small minds and big hearts. I find inspiration in the countryside, in the forests and in the most unimportant things. Privately, I am a mother of two guinea pigs. In the evenings, I learn to dance on roller skates.

My artistic beginnings, as a little girl and later a blossoming teenager, began with comics and illustrations. I visualized my childhood stories that I invented while playing. Later, as a teenager, in love with books, I put down on paper my imaginations of the fantasy novels I read. I devoted my years at art school to perfecting my skills, abandoning illustration for some time. However, when I was lucky enough to get into college, I remembered my passion for illustration and slowly returned to it. It is something that I find incredibly fulfilling and I cannot imagine myself in any other role!
Of the terms illustrator and cartoonist, I come across the latter more often, perhaps because the term encompasses a much broader range of activities. A cartoonist is associated with a person who draws exclusively, while an illustrator is someone who puts various content into an image using many techniques, although it is mainly based on 2D drawing.
My Work
What does my job as an illustrator involve?
As an illustrator, I work both traditionally with text, especially children’s books, and visualize various things for various needs.
My other activities are primarily hand-painted mugs and portraits. I make your visions come true in them, I turn each person into their illustrative twin. Not every portraitist interferes with reality, and an illustrator extracts from it what is most interesting and dresses it in his own artistic language.
Polish illustrators
Illustrator of children's books
My work as an illustrator also requires a lot of empathy, understanding someone’s needs and always being open to finding compromises. When it comes to personalized orders and collaborations with authors, it’s important for me to establish positive contact. A nice and honest atmosphere helps us better understand our common expectations, which is key to creating perfect illustrations.
The community of Polish illustrators is one big, supportive family for me. We are warm to each other, we are happy for each other’s successes and help each other in times of trouble. Polish illustrators are also a huge variety of styles and ways of drawing. Because everyone is different, we don’t have to outdo each other. From abstraction and geometric shapes to those based on nature! Polish children’s illustration has been known to the world for many years and is doing better and better! As a Polish illustrator, I also want to contribute to this.
An illustrator of children’s books is also a person who often looks at the world with a child’s sensitivity. At least I cannot imagine creating for the youngest without feeling that I am creating with all my heart for myself as well. Illustrated children’s books are also often intended for parents or have no age limit. Certain content and images can bring new value to everyone’s life.
